Annapurna (pronounced ah-nuh-POOR-nuh) is a Sanskrit name meaning “full of nourishment” — and it’s the name of a sacred Himalayan massif in Nepal whose summit, Annapurna I, was the first 8,000-meter peak ever climbed. The name is personal for us. In 2008, our founder Tony Gebely traveled to Nepal and walked a portion of the Annapurna Circuit, and came home changed — by the scale of the mountains and by the warmth of the people who lived in their shadow. Years later, when it came time to name the firm, the metaphor was already there: cybersecurity is a long, technical climb, and the right guide is what makes the difference.
